I love the lighting it creates a very calm mood. Infra red is one of my favourite medium to work with because its dramatic. The darkening of the sky along with the silhouette of pier gives a special touch and creativity all on its own. Lovely!
Just by looking at the trees on the right, it looks like you are traveling 100 mph, and you're sitting at your computer desk. Amazing sense of motion captured here.
You did it again--another excellent shot, Scott! Great use of the girl and the tracks as subject matter. I like the fact that you took the picture very low to the ground--it captured a long reflection in the rail, and there's a sense of danger provided by the tracks, and her eyes. Great job.
I love this photo, Scott. The trees just "glow." The contrast also makes this shot great. I like the fact that it isn't straight--it adds (for lack of other words) a certain "character" to it that wouldn't be there otherwise. If you do straighten it, do keep this one also. Great job on it!
You have some really great photographs, Scott. I found these when I clicked on various links, almost missed it. I like this one the best--the way that the trees cast the shadows, the house and the sky being so dark--the contrast between light and dark is what makes this one stand out. Keep taking great photos, and you could be the next Ansel Adams. The shot with the pier is pretty good, too--not washed out, considering the location of the sun. Great shots! Keep them posted.
