AUGUST 24TH 2006, PLUTO WAS DEMOTED TODAY FROM PLANETARY STATUS, It is now shares a classification among other asteroids in our solar system. An historical day requiring all text books to be rewritten.

It was interesting today to tell my six year old this news :) she had already learned the planets in science class and promptly erased pluto from the end of the list lol
